With regards the first shot above. I have had info from a friend who is a Southdown follower, he has an identical print in his collection. This is endorsed LUF 816. Fleet number 1816. Taken 4th August 1957 in Madeira Drive, Brighton. The print has G.M.G in blue ink stamped on the back.
I have sent him the other pictures.

Thanks for that, I have amended the caption.

Re the “G.M.G.” stamped on the back of the photo of LUF 816, this stands for Gordon M. Gangloff who passed away in 2012 and was, I believe, a well known enthusiast in the Sussex area, living latterly at Lancing.

Another great gallery Roy, featuring some really classic vehicles. Its interesting to note the rear of an identical coach on the left of the picture. These top of the range Royal Tiger/Harrington coaches must have been relatively expensive to buy and run for a low capacity of twenty six clients – real luxury touring at its very best !!

The coach to the left of picture 1 seems to be fleet number 1814. Did not look closely until comment from Chris Y.
